About May Natural History Museum

Come visit over 7000 species of beautiful butterflies, moths, bizarre beetles, giant spiders, deadly scorpions and more at the May Natural History Museum known as the “Bug Museum.” Children and families alike will love visiting this fun museum and seeing all things creepy and crawly! This is one of the world’s largest private collections of insects large and small. You won’t want to miss it!

Make sure to check out the gift shop on your way out! They have fun trinkets, books and educational gifts.

Also, make a day of your visit by packing a picnic to enjoy on the beautiful grounds which are located at the base of the Rocky Mountains in between Colorado Springs and Canon City.
