The Peterson Air and Space Museum is one of twelve US Air Force field museums. The museum preserves and portrays the rich aviation and space history of Colorado Springs and Peterson Space Force base.
The whole family can visit the museum and find exhibits that illustrate the history and missions of Peterson Space Force base since it was established during World War II.
Located within an 8.3 acre Colorado State Historic District, the Museum’s aerospace vehicle collection includes seventeen aircraft and four missiles, which represent weapon systems used by the US and Canada in the strategic defense of North America during the Cold War to the present day.
