About Manitou Cliff Dwellings

This cool place for learning and fun is only 5 miles west of Colorado Springs. You get to see the special buildings made by the ancient Anasazi and check out two museums full of interesting displays. The Manitou Cliff Dwellings are old ruins, about 800-1000 years old, made by the Anasazi. You can actually walk through and touch these old homes to feel closer to history.

Feel free to bring your own picnic to eat while you’re there. Plus, from June to August, they have a snack bar if you get hungry.
