Colorado Springs sure knows how to celebrate the Fall season big time!
If you’re a family with kids, you know the costumes, trick-or-treat, and pumpkin days are coming, and what better way to celebrate this fun holiday than with unique events and activities created especially with the little ones in mind?
Get your favorite Halloween costume ready and prepare to have a blast! Here’s a list of the best 2022 Halloween and Fall events in Colorado Springs, make sure to read until the very end as every option is AWESOME!

Where: Cheyenne Mountain Zoo
Dates: Available to book any day of October, during normal business hours (9 AM – 5 PM).

October means it’s time for the spooky season! 

During this camp, you will unwrap the myths surrounding one of those creepy crawly creatures – spiders! You will even get to meet some of the nicest eight-legged friends around!

Where: Cheyenne Mountain Zoo
Hours: October 15, 21, 26. 9 AM- 10 AM

During this Stroller Safari, parents and children will participate in a Fall – themed sensory activity and meet some Orange colored friends that call the zoo home!

Stroller Safaris are informal exploratory experiences in which participants use all five of their senses to connect with nature and animals.

Where: Royal Gorge Bridge
Hours: October 22, 4 PM- 7:30 PM

Little ghosts & goblins will have a blast Trick-or-Treating at America’s Bridge!

Local businesses and non-profits will witch you a Happy Halloween while filling your bags and buckets with tasty treats.

Where: Cheyenne Mountain Zoo
Hours: October 21-23, 28-31. 4 PM- 8:30 PM

Boo at the Zoo at the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo is a unique way to enjoy Halloween with the family and see the original creatures of the night!

Get your costumes ready, grab your trick-or-treat bag, and get ready for the wildest Halloween event around Colorado Springs!

Where: Garden of the Gods Visitor & Nature Center
Hours: October 23, 12- 3 PM

Kids of all ages can visit the Garden of the GHOULS Visitor Center to trick or treat inside the building!

All throughout the Visitor Center, there will be locations set up for kiddos to find their treats with absolutely no tricks!

Where: Pueblo Zoo
Hours: October 29, 10 AM- 3 PM

This year’s Zoo Boo at Pueblo Zoo will be filled with family-friendly activities, including trick-or-Treating at Sponsor Booths, costume Parades and contests, ghoulicious Candy, spooky Crafts and Games, and more!

Where: Space Foundation Discovery Center
Hours: October 29, 10 AM- 4 PM

Families can join Space Foundation Discovery Center’s Halloween celebration and learn the creepy science behind classic Halloween crafts.

Activities include dry ice activities with fog, creepy vibrations, and bubbles; witches Brew; Alien Eyeballs; bloody Slime; and glowing Worms.

Where: Play Street Museum
Hours: October 22, 2 PM- 3:30 PM

Grab a spot and join Play Street Museum for some Glow Slime Time!

In addition to playtime, kiddos will get to make a batch of glow-in-the-dark slime. This is one event you don’t want to miss!!

Where: Colorado Springs Pioneers Museum
Hours: October 29, 2 PM- 5 PM

The Colorado Springs Pioneers Museum invites families for a fun and educational fall-themed stroll around the beautiful 1903 El Paso County Courthouse!

During this 1-hour outdoor guided stroll, you will visit five interactive art and history-themed stations!

Where: The U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Museum
Hours: October 29, 30, 31.

The U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Museum is hosting Fright at the BOO!seum.

Families are invited to spend their Halloween weekend at the Museum, where kids in costumes receive free admission.

Where: Space Foundation Discovery Center
Hours: October 29, 10 AM- 4 PM

Halloween at the Discovery Center is Space Foundation Discovery Center’s Halloween celebration!

See a chemistry magic show, learn about 3D printing and create a spooky souvenir.

Where: Play Street Museum
Hours: October 30, 9 AM- 10: 30 AM

In addition to lots of playtime and some great favorite Halloween activities, kiddos can enjoy a yummy Halloween-themed breakfast.

They can wear their favorite costume for this fun event!

Where: Buell Children’s Museum
Hours: October 29, 10 AM & 4 PM

Celebrate National Cat Day!

Buell Children’s Museum will feature the black cats of society! Grab your trick-or-treat bags and visit the museum for a hair-raising good time!

Where: Royal Gorge Dinosaur Experience
Hours: October 30, 12 PM- 3 PM

Kids in costume will trick-or-treat their way through fun experiences, where staff will be passing out loads of candy.

They will be playing fun games, including Pumpkin Checkers, and trying and stump Dino Dan in the museum!

Dig for prizes in the dig pit and pick a pumpkin and get a decorating kit on the spooky Wild Walk.

Where: Colorado Wolf and Wildlife Center
Hours: October 30, 6 PM- 8 PM

During Howl-O-Ween, families can join Colorado Wolf and Wildlife Center as they pass out meat-filled pumpkins to all the wolves followed by a bonfire and refreshments!

Where: Cheyenne Mountain Zoo
Hours: October 31, 9:30 AM- 11 AM

This special Holiday edition Stroller Safari includes a special demo with the Zoo’s wolves, a meet & greet with a few of the “creepy crawly” but still adorable animals from My Big Backyard, and painting your own mini pumpkin to take home with you!

Costumes are both welcome and encouraged for participants of all ages!

Hours: November 24, 9 AM- 11 AM

During this annual Thanksgiving event, the Colorado Wolf and Wildlife Center will be feeding the wolf, coyote, and fox families while families watch them enjoy their turkey dinner!

Hours: November 21, 22 & 23 | PreK-K Half Day: 9 AM – 1 PM | 1st – 6th Grades: 9 AM – 4 PM

The Theme for these awesome Fall Break Day Camps this year will be Dynamic Decomposers!

Decaying, rotting, and molding, oh MY! Ever wonder where all of our waste goes? As the leaves fall, kids will learn about the decomposers that turn that waste into energy!
